Many of us like rope bondage because it's pretty, sensual and intimate. Tops often like demonstrating their technical skills and bottoms often enjoy the firm, snug caress of the rope.
And some of us like being mean with our bondage - or like being tied up in mean ways.
Come learn more about using rope to produce powerful scenes and intense sensation.
We'll cover motivation, technique, safety and some style elements which complement this type of play.
Workshop structure
Much of our time will be spent on demonstrations and discussion but there will be a few opportunities for hands-on practice.
If you're a top and part of your kinky repertoire is SM-based, you'll want to see how you can use rope to facilitate your scenes.
If you're a bottom and you crave the intensity of physically demanding scenes, you won't want to miss these demonstrations and discussions. You'll have opportunities to add to your skill set and mingle with a bunch of mean tops.
A practice partner will be useful for the hands-on portions of the workshop but you'll also get lots out of this workshop if you come alone.
Some rope will be provided for the workshop, but bring the following if you can:
- (2) 15-foot pieces of 4mm
- (2) 30-foot pieces of 6mm
Who should attend?
No prior knowledge of rope bondage is assumed for this class - it's perfectly appropriate for beginners. If you're already proficient with rope it's a great way to add some new skills and to find other ways to approach your scenes.
This workshop assumes no previous BDSM experience and is appropriate for all genders, all orientations, and for both tops and bottoms.
Afterwards
Attendees will receive a handout full of principles, safety information, basic technique, and resources.

Cancellation / refund policy
If you cancel your registration up to 2 days before the event you will receive a full refund.
If we cancel the event you will receive a 100% refund, to include ticketing fees.
COVID protocols
We are navigating the current CDC guidelines and our own sense of safety and reasonableness. The protocol for this event is based on our own research and risk assessment; we encourage you to do the same before you purchase your ticket. If you’d like to attend, please follow these protocols:
- Attendees must be fully vaccinated as of the event date. That means 2 weeks after the final dose of your series (1 for J&J, 2 for Pfizer or Moderna).
- You will be asked to provide a proof of vaccination as you enter. If you prefer, you can email Max a copy of your vaccine card ahead of time. In the interest of privacy, I’ll delete the card after I’ve confirmed your vaccination status.
- Masks will not be required. You may, of course, wear a mask if you wish.
- Please do not attend if you are exhibiting COVID symptoms or you are exposed to someone who has tested positive in the 14 days before the event.
