Do you prefer the bite of a handcuff to the caress of rope? Are you having trouble tying all those knots? Does the sound of a padlock clicking into place get you hard or wet?
Seattle's a big rope town, and it's easy to forget that there are LOTS of ways to restrain someone without rope.
This workshop is your chance to get up close and personal with a whole lot of extraordinary bondage equipment. Some of this equipment comes from Max's personal collection, some items are borrowed from other bondage tops around town, and most items are available for sale at Lover's Lair.
Workshop format
The workshop will begin with several demonstrations of high-end bondage equipment. You'll get a chance to ask questions and see how the gear works.
We'll have sleepsacks, straitjackets, cuffs, a cage, hoods and more. For each type of gear, Max will address
- What makes it special and cool
- Gear-specific technique
- Safety considerations specific to this type of gear
If you're a rope fan, this workshop may open your eyes to a new world of play. And if you like bondage gear, you'll love the opportunity to see and use some cool gear.
This workshop doesn't hit the rotation very often - in fact the last time it was offered was in 2015. Don't miss out!
There will be lots of time to ask questions, handle and examine the gear, and to put it on your partner or try it on yourself. We won't be doing "scenes", but this is a great opportunity to learn, have fun, and experiment with equipment you wouldn't normally have access to.
Who should attend?
This workshop is perfect for both bondage tops and bondage bottoms. If you've wanted to see how the equipment in the movies and on the web sites feels, come try it on. If you've contemplated an expensive equipment purchase or commissioning a piece of custom gear, come check out what we have and talk with the other folks in the room. And if you just want to watch a stunning display of exotic bondage "stuff", this is the place.
Bondage Bottoms: this is your chance to meet some bondage tops! Come learn and experience a LOT of cool gear.
If you can, come with a practice partner. If you don't have a partner, come anyway and we'll make sure you get a chance to see how the gear works.
This workshop assumes no previous bondage experience, and is appropriate for all genders and orientations.
Afterwards
Attendees receive an illustrated handout to facilitate your learning and retention. Attendees also receive a 20% discount coupon for purchases at Lover's Lair.
Max will be available after the workshop to help you shop for toys.
Cancellation / refund policy
If you cancel your registration up to 2 hours before the event you will receive a full refund.
If we cancel the event you will receive a 100% refund, to include ticketing fees.
COVID protocols
We are navigating the current CDC guidelines and our own sense of safety and reasonableness. The protocol for this event is based on our own research and risk assessment; we encourage you to do the same before you purchase your ticket. If you’d like to attend, please follow these protocols:
- Attendees must be fully vaccinated as of the event date. That means 2 weeks after the final dose of your series (1 for J&J, 2 for Pfizer or Moderna).
- You will be asked to provide a proof of vaccination as you enter. If you prefer, you can email Max a copy of your vaccine card ahead of time. In the interest of privacy, I’ll delete the card after I’ve confirmed your vaccination status.
- Masks will not be required. You may, of course, wear a mask if you wish.
- Please do not attend if you are exhibiting COVID symptoms or you are exposed to someone who has tested positive in the 14 days before the event.
