Join Max and international communication coach Eri Kardos to Explore Your Kink in an exciting and non-traditional way, with the KinkLab Unconference. 

This loosely structured conference emphasizes the informal exchange of info and ideas between kinksters and kink-curious participants.  With a potential agenda filled with topics related to kink, BDSM and poly lifestyles, the possibilities are only limited by the imaginations of the attendees.

At the start of the day, the agenda is created, driven by the passion and interests of the participants. A sample of past topics include Building Community, Scene Negotiation from the Bottom’s Perspective, Owning a Sex-Positive Business, Sex with a Pregnant Woman, Deep Throating and Making D/S Work. The topics are varied - and the perspective can be focused on each participant’s interest. Want to study a topic in order to teach it? Looking to lead the way in your sex-positive community culture? Interested in leading discussion groups with friends and peers? Not a big talker, but simply want to listen to the varied discussions, and soak it all up?  Then this unconference is for you.

Past unconferences have included diverse communities of attendees - from seasoned veterans in the kink community to relative newcomers, all chasing the same goals of communication, community and education. The conversations were enlightening and enthusiastic, and often what began as engaging topics at the unconference were realized in the weeks and months to follow as successful local workshops, budding business ventures and deeper, more meaningful relationships. The positive energy generated on the day of the event lasts long beyond the day’s end.

What is the Schedule for this Event?

Doors open at 9:30am, allowing you plenty of time to check-in, get a cup of coffee, and mingle with the other attendees.

At 10am we’ll gather in Max’s dungeon for the Opening Circle where Eri will explain the concept of Open Space Technologies/Unconferences and how the day will work. There will be 5 areas for sessions and 7 time blocks, allowing for 35 unique sessions during the day.

From 10:30am - 12:30pm We'll launch into our morning unconference sessions.

From 12:30pm - 1:15pm we will provide a catered lunch and a chance to chat and build community.

At 1:15pm we’ll reconvene and check in with folks to see how the morning went.

From 1:30pm - 6:30pm we will move into our afternoon unconference sessions.

At 6:30 we'll do our Closing Circle. This wraps up our time together and is a crucial part of the experience.

The event ends at 7:00 pm.

• If you are neither benefiting from nor contributing to a conversation/presentation, take your two feet and go somewhere you can.
• You have the freedom to move about and participate in what moves you, free from offending the presenters.
• No need to get bored or only attend 3 sessions - you can jump around as much or as little as you desire.

Please bring pen and paper for notes and any specific snacks or drinks you desire.  We will provide snacks, drinks, and lunch!.

This event assumes no previous experience, and is appropriate for all genders and orientations. You can bring a partner or a group of friends, but coming alone is completely comfortable and appropriate.

Cancellation / refund policy

If you need to cancel your registration on or before February 13th we can offer a full refund. After February 13th we will refund 80% of your registration fee. Either way, you will be responsible for the BrownPaperTickets ticketing fees.

If we cancel the event, you will receive a 100% refund, to include ticketing fees.
