"Pain" is a small word used to describe a large swath of sensation experience. Even the definition of pain is difficult to agree upon, define and interpret. Is this elusive and subjective experience best described in qualitative or quantitative terms? In this class, Mark Yu will offer a model for understanding this complex and lovely issue from the point of view of The Yu Method.
Mark will demonstrate types of pain, how and why they are experienced in the way they are, and how best to give and control them. Techniques for making sure the pain being experienced is the one that is intended will be shown and practiced. Mark will also cover ways for the "experiencer" of the pain to change, move, and control the nature of it.
The template of understanding this phenomena will be presented using the idea of Qi and its established practices in martial arts and Oriental medicine, and will be focused on the precept of "Hurt, not Harm".
This information and these techniques have practical value in not only many aspects of kink play, but in a large part of our daily life.
This workshop assumes no previous experience, and is appropriate for all genders and orientations.
