Exploring Shibari - Creative Ebi / Gyaku Ebi Positions

Featuring Mark Yu

Sunday May 3rd, 2009

2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

at the Center for Sex Positive Culture (CSPC) in Seattle

The Ebi and its reverse, the Gyaku Ebi  are some of the oldest Shibari ties known. Both of these and their variations have been used in military and law enforcement contexts such as interrogation and torture for centuries.

That makes them perfect for our use!

Since they are vigorous and demanding ties that involve difficult positions, they are recommended for intermediate and advanced players who enjoy and are in condition for strict bondage and tough play.

Variations on tying and play techniques for these positions will be shown.

Safety and the bio-mechanics of these ties will be covered in detail.

Come learn all the play possibilities that come with this classically beautiful and elegantly evil shibari tie.

If you can, come with a practice partner. If you don't have a partner, come anyway and we'll make sure you get a chance to practice the basic techniques. Rope Bottoms - this is your chance to meet some rope tops - come learn and get tied up!

Some rope will be provided for the workshop, but bring the following if you can

If you don't have suitable rope, Monk (www.TwistedMonk.com) will be selling hemp rope before the workshop.  Please show up 15 minutes early if you would like to buy rope.

This workshop assumes no previous bondage experience, and is appropriate for all genders and orientations.
